Windhoek - Brandberg (2573m)
Departure from Windhoek at 7:00 am, via Okahandja, across central farmland to Namibia's highest mountain - the Brandberg. Hiking to the famous rock engraving "White Lady". |
| Day 2 |
Brandberg - Twyfelfontein
Sightseeing of the rock engravings at Twyfelfontein, as well as the "Burnt Mountain" and the "Organ Pipes". |
| Day 3 |
Twyfelfontein - Palmwag
Hike and/or rest at the swimming pool at Palmwag. Here the first adapted desert elephants can be seen. |
| Day 4 |
Palmwag - Ganumub valley
Drive to the Khowarib Gorge and the Ongongo Falls. A visit to Fort Sesfontein before we continue to the wilderness searching for the desert elephants and with luck the black rhino
in the Ganamub and Hoanib riverbeds.

| Day 5-6 |
Ganumub-valley - Purros
Drive along the Skeleton Coast Park to Purros. Here we meet the real Ovahimbas,the indigenous inhabitants of the Kaokoland. |
| Day 7-8 . |
Purros - Otjinungwa
The wide Etendeka plains expand through diverse changing landscapes up to the dry Marienfluss valley and onwards to the Kunene River - the natural border between Namibia and Angola. Extensively we explore the Marienfluss area. |
| Day 9 . |
Otjinungwa - Hoarusib
We cross the Central Kaokoland through Orupembe and visit traditional Himba villages. |
| Day 10-11 . |
Hoarusib - Epupa Falls
From Opuwo we pass Okangwati in the north - eastern Kaokoland to the thundering Epupa Falls. Hikes along the river, beautiful birding possibilities and relaxing under the Makalani palm trees await you here. |
| Day 12 |
Epupa - Hobatere
On the most western part of the Etosha National Park we camp at Hobatere. |
| Day 13-14 |
Hobatere - Etosha National Park
With special permission we are allowed to enter the western part of the Etosha National Park and will be at Okaukuejo where you can view the game at the illuminated waterhole. The full next day we will go on scenic drives along the huge saltpan where game, predators and birds of pray can be seen. |
| Day 15 |
Etosha National Park - Windhoek
On the way back to Windhoek we stop at the Kavango wood carvers market in Okahandja. Arriving Windhoek at about 14h00 pm. |
